Education
I am currently a first-year doctoral
student in the Computer Science department at
North Carolina State
University in Raleigh, NC. I completed my Bachelor's
and Master's
degrees in
Computer Science at the
University of South Alabama in Mobile, AL in 2006
and 2008 respectively.
Research Interests
I recently joined the Cyber Defense Lab at
NCSU to work under Dr. Ting Yu. I am currently exploring
possible research directions the field of computer security,
including phishing and insider attacks. My previous
research, at the University of South Alabama, focused primarily on combating email spam and adversarial
attacks on statistical spam filters. I also worked briefly on developing machine
learning based counterattack
strategies against image-based adversarial attacks on spam filters.
