Xiang is a PhD candidate in applied mathematics under Dr Ralph Smith. She received her bachelor degree from Wuhan University, CS in 2003. She is looking for a job/postdoc position now, she will graduate in summer, 2009. Currently, she is working on adaptive linear/nonlinear control problems of smart hytstertic systems. For more information, please check Curriculum Vitae(pdf), Research Group, and Dissertation(pdf).
Research Interests
Reserach focuses on nonlinear dynamic systems,
control theory, optimization and signal processing. This includes
control design and implementation for smart material systems
operating in highly hysteretic and nonlinear regimes. Topics under
current investigation include:
Analysis and develop of nonlinear control systems.
Model based control design with experimental validation.
