Consulting:

CropLife America – North Carolina Environmental Stewardship Project

In 2002, CropLife America secured funding from the Environmental Protection Agency to establish an environmental stewardship project in North Carolina. CropLife America (CLA) represents the developers, manufacturers, formulators and distributors of crop protection and biotechnology products for agriculture and pest management in the United States. The goal of the North Carolina Environmental Stewardship Project was to promote the safe use of pesticides. Dr. Buhler served as the Technical Consultant for the project and worked with CLA to identify specific stewardship educational needs, and devise innovative materials and initiatives to address these needs. Teaching

Participated as guest lecturer in classes offered by the Departments of Entomology, Horticultural Science, Crop Science, Parks, Recreation and Tourism Management, and Biological and Agricultural Engineering at NC State University.

Created curriculum including lecture, worksheet, and hands-on exercise to teach calibration of pesticide application equipment for students in the Agricultural Institute.
