About me

Photo of Akshay

I'm a graduate student in Industrial Engineering pursuing a concentration in systems modeling and analysis and a minor in operations research. My research interests primarily relate to the domain of healthcare systems engineering. Currently, I'm developing a toolbox for modeling healthcare operations using SIMIO as well as investigating the factors hindering learning behavior among frontline healthcare workers. I am also principal investigator for an IHI study on Hospital Acquired Infection Control policies.

I used to be a NCSU student government senator 2010-2011 for graduate students. I am also the President of the NCSU (IHI Open School Chapter (Facebook group page).
