My name is Thien Nguyen. I am a freshman at NC State University and so far it has been amazing. I am anticipating acceptance into the college of Engineering. I chose my major, Computer Engineering, through personal experience and interest and the prospects involved with getting a Masters Degree in Engineering. It has always been my dream to come here since high school. The earliest memory I have of NC State is when I went to see a women's basketball game at Reynolds Colliseum.

NC State can better facilitate Halloween by giving the students more activities to do and places to visit. Hillsborough Street can also be dangerous at night, so having a bunch of students partying out at 3 am can be trouble. Personally I think that for NC State to even rival UNC's Franklin street on Halloween, we would have to do more than just hire bands and get food here. The brickyard would probably be ideal but it doesnt even come close to Franklin street in terms of size and accommodations. Even if Hillsborough were able to be closed off on Halloween, there still arent as many accomodations as Franklin street. The only way we can perhaps catch up or even surpass Franklin street is if Hillsborough is able to be closed off to traffic and many more food places are built or if lots of food and music is put in the brickyard.
