I'm Trisha Biswas, a fourth year PhD candidate in the Department of Computer Science at North Carolina State University. I received my bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Engineering from West Bengal University of Technology, India in 2008, and my Master's degree in Computer Science from North Carolina State University in Spring 2011. My research interests are in computer networking. I'm currently working on development and analysis of multipath routing protocols for Ad Hoc and Mesh networks. I was born in Kolkata, which is a city in the eastern part of India. I grew up mostly in India and also spent short periods of my childhood in Libya and Venezuela. Since last year, I have been working on a multipath routing protocol for ad hoc networks called Petal Routing. My written prelim exam was based on this work. Details on the project as well as my exam report can be found here. My paper on Petal Routing just got accepted at Globecom 2011!!! This past summer, I got an opportunity to teach an introductory programming course in our department (CSC116), and thoroughly enjoyed it! |
