WELCOME!

I joined the faculty of the School of Public and International Affairs (SPIA) at NCSU in August 2007. I am very excited to be at North Carolina State, and to share my teaching and research interests.

Please browse my website for information about my teaching, research, and service activities at NC State and in the profession. As this site evolves, you will also see useful links to general interest news and to more specialized sources that you might find interesting. I particularly welcome potential graduate students with an interest in studying extreme events from a political science and public policy approach.
