Homework assignments will be handed out throughout the semester as well. You are
strongly encouraged to work on these assignments. They are, however, for
training purposes only. Neither will they be collected, nor graded, nor taken
into account when deriving the final grade.

Three midterm tests will be administered throughout the semester, they will comprise 60% of
your final grade.
The other 40% will come from the final exam, which has been scheduled for Thursday, May the 3rd,
between 8:00am and 11:00am
(check
the general examination schedule for Spring 2012).
4. Topics and estimated days allocated to each topic:
