Hello folks! Welcome to my

the Kim Lab). I am Sung Woo Kim living in Raleigh, North
Carolina and currently working as a Professor of Nutrition & Digestive
Physiology at the Department
of Animal Science, North Carolina State
University (NCSU).
I am also an Adjunct Professor of Animal Science at Texas A&M University (College Station, Texas), an Adjunct Professor at the College of Animal Science and Technology, China Agricultural University (Beijing, China), a Honorary Scientist of Rural Development Administration (Suwon, Korea), an Adjunct Professor at College of Agriculture, Yanbian University (Yanji, China), and an Adjunct Professor at the Institute of Subtropical Agriculture of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
My academic background? ... I graduated Seoul National University where I received Master of Science and Bachelor of Science degrees in the field of animal sciences and nutrition. My Ph.D degree was from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where I also worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Dr. Easter Animal Nutrition Lab, Department of Animal Sciences. After my postdoctoral training, I worked as an Assistant Professor of Monogastric Nutrition and Digestive Physiology at Texas Tech University where I was also tenured and promoted to Associate Professor before I move to North Carolina State University. In 2012, I am promoted to full Professor at North Carolina State University.
I serve Journal of Animal Science as an Associate Editor, as well as Asian Australasian Journal of Animal Science, Korean Journal of Animal Science and Technology, and Journal of Animal Science and Biotechnology as an Editorial Board Member. I am also a member of NCR-42 and S-1012 committees which are supported by USDA.
