Additional Resources
- “Ready..
Set.. Calculus” is a booklet designed at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute
to help guide incoming Science and Engineering majors in assessing and
practicing their “initial” mathematical skills. The problems involve
arithmetic, algebra, inequalities, trigonometry, logarithms,
exponentials and graph recognition and do not require the use of a
calculator. The book has problems, examples and links to web pages with
further help and can be used online.
- Scanned Lectured Notes for the sections:
4.2 Maximum and Minimum Values are here.
4.3 Derivatives and the Shapes of Curves are here(some older notes).
4.5 Indeterminate Forms and l'Hospital's Rule are here.
