Goals of the Course
- Learn to deal with functions of several variables from a variety of viewpoints.
- Understand vectors geometrically and learn to use vectors algebraically.
- Understand and learn to use partial derivatives, gradients, and directional derivatives, including optimization applications.
- Understand and learn to use multiple integrals and line and surface integrals.

Test 4 for this course is on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving (Nov. 25), 10:15 - 11:05 a.m. It will not be given at any other time. (The only possible exceptions are those required by University regulations on attendance.) If this time is not suitable for you, do not register for this section.
