Mathematical Modeling of Physical Processes II

Course Topics

  • Acoustics and fluids
  • Structures including rods, beams and shells
  • Electromagnetic theory
  • Numerical solution techniques for PDE
  • Deterministic and statistical parameter estimation techniques
  • Verification and validation of models

Grade: Midterm and final exam (Monday, May 7, 1:00-4:00 pm): 40%; Projects (about 5 will be assigned and they can be done in groups of up to 3 students): 60%
