Purpose

The purpose of the Bladen County Livestock Association is to educate producers through guest speakers and county officials, have public relations and acquaint the community with modern livestock production practices, monitor local situations and communicate producers’ positions on issues with our elected officials, and enhance awareness of the financial impact of livestock production on the county’s total economy.

Membership is open to any person, business, FFA, or 4-H member that has an interest in livestock production.  Dues are $25 per family per year.  Associate business member dues are $50 per year.  Dues are paid at the meeting in February.  Membership benefits also include continuing education hours for Animal Waste Applicator Certification, updates on legislative and environmental regulations, information on the latest products and equipment, and contact with others interested in the livestock industry.
