The purpose of the Bladen County Livestock
Association is to educate
producers through
guest speakers and county officials, have public relations and
acquaint the community with modern livestock production practices, monitor local situations and
communicate producers’ positions on issues with our elected officials,
and enhance awareness of the financial impact of livestock production
on
the county’s total economy.
Membership is open to any
person, business, FFA,
or 4-H member that has an interest in livestock production. Dues are $25 per family per year.
Associate
business member dues are $50 per year. Dues are paid
at the meeting in February. Membership benefits also include
continuing education hours
for Animal Waste Applicator Certification, updates on legislative and environmental
regulations, information
on the latest products and equipment, and contact with others interested in the
livestock industry.

Board of Directors are elected in December and serve for 3 years. There are 9 directors on the board.
