  • Education as textile chemist at Fachhochschule Niederrhein, Krefeld, Germany
  • Employed by Bayer Corporation (and its predecessors) from 1965-1995, beginning as Manager of Development and Color Physics and ending as Vice President Marketing/Textile Products, and from 1995-2000 by Bayer joint venture DyStar L. P. as VP Staff/Services.
  • Named Adjunct Professor in Color Science at North Carolina State University, Raleigh, NC in 2000.
  • Armin J. Brunig Award for Color Science by the Federation of Societies for Coatings Technology in 1986.
  • Godlove Award by the Inter-Society Color Council, 2003.
