Title: Drawing out the Beast Deck
DejaNews Thread
Okay,
Here's the deck:
Crypt: (12 Vamps)
2x Vliam Andor 2cap ani
2x Panagos Levidis 3cap ani obf
1x Raziya Samater 3cap ani pot
1x Dani 2cap ani
2x Anastasia Grey 3cap ani pro
1x Wendy Wade 3cap ani aus
1x Navar McClaren 1cap ani, blocks funny
1x Leon 2cap ani, for
1x Gillian Krader 2cap ani, dem, no political actions
Library: (90 Cards)
45x Drawing out the Beast
11x Aid from Bats
11x Animalism
11x Bum's Rush
7x Fake Out
5x Guard Dogs
Well, That's it. I'm painfully short on Sabbat vamps or else I'd
streamline the crypt by taking out a Panagos and Anastasia, throwing in
Tommy, and doubling up on either Dani or Leon. Don't bother doubling up
Navar, blocking is good.
As far as the library is concerned, you can't toss any animalism, I'd
maybe trade a Bats for another Guard Dogs or possibly a stray cat's
guidence for a token +1 intercept. I need the fake outs because there
are the occasional "combat decks" that have maneuvers.
The library is pretty pure, you could aid a Fragment or Barrens, or
maybe one or two special application cards, I don't know what.
You play the deck as a weanie horde bleed thing. The first time your
prey blocks you DotB the minion into oblivion. Your prey won't block to
many bleeds after that. The Bum's Rush is there to take out your
predator's minions when he/she decides to do that S&B or Political or
whatever.
Anyway, Drawing out the Beast is as abusive as any other card in the
set, it hoses equipment, presses, manuevers, fortitude, S:CE, and well,
just combat in general. It gets stopped by obedience, but that card is
pretty powerful in its own right. It stops combat from happening when a
block occurs and combat would normally happen. I don't think there's
another card that both stacks, and is as powerful on a card vs. card
basis.
