Qianfeng in BAE, NCSU

Jeff

Qianfeng (Jeff) Li is currently working in the Department of Biological and Agricultural Engineering at North Carolina State University as a Research Associate. His research program is a National Air Emission Monitoring Study (NAEMS), which was established in 2006 by a voluntary air compliance agreement between the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the pork, dairy, egg and broiler industries.  The goal of this program is to: (1) Accurately assess emissions from livestock operations and compile a database for estimation of emission rate; (2) Promote a national consensus for emission-estimation methods/procedures from livestock operations.

Dr. Li received his Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from Lanzhou University in China with Professor Zhide Hu, and his research focus was instrumental design and Chinese traditional medicine analysis. He then moved into the area of Environmental Sciences during his postdoctoral research position with Professor Jianzhen Yu (Hong Kong Sciences and Technology University) and with Professor Richard M. Kamens (University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill). In 2003, he was awarded an Alexander von Humboldt Fellowship to do research in Germany.

Dr. Li has published more than 33 peer reviewed papers in international science journals, and his work has been cited by a number of researchers around the world. (...More about me:CV
