Manufacturing

The modern manufacturer will take advantage of the close proximity to the large domestic market. Focused upon the customers' needs, the domestic manufacturer will be able to quickly provide a customized product.

To quickly manufacture and deliver a custom product, the modern domestic casegoods factory will use an approach we call Modern Manufacturing Methods. The controlling principles are efficient material handling and information flow, knowledgeable and empowered employees, and the establishment of manufacturing flexibility throughout the factory. The goals of the modern furniture manufacturer are: customization, reduced lead times, and nontraditional marketing.

Wood products manufacturing typically generates residuals that can often be recycled or reused. Often the problem is connecting the generator with the user. We have created a web based inventory database to help market wood residues. To register your wood residual, go to the North Carolina Wood Based Residue Inventory.
