Useful links in Process Desing (Databases) (Don't need password from on-campus computers):

DIPPR Chemical Database
DIPPR database consists of experimental data and correlations of temperature-dependent properties for over 1,600 pure chemicals. Collected data have been evaluated, correlated, and checked for thermodynamic consistency.

Compendex
Subject areas include nuclear technology, bioengineering, transportation, chemical and process engineering, light and optical technology, agricultural engineering and food technology, computers and data processing, applied physics, electronics and communications, control, civil, mechanical, materials, petroleum, aerospace and automotive engineering.

SciFinder Scholar
SciFinder Scholar provides access to several Chemical Abstracts Service databases, including Chemical Abstracts, Registry, CASREACT, CHEMLIST, and CHEMCAT. Users may search more than 19 million citations to the chemistry literature by topic, author, CAS Registry Numbers, patent number, and CAS abstract number. More than 22 million chemical substances may be searched by chemical name, chemical structure, CAS Registry Numbers, and formula. Users can also do substructure searching.

CHEMnetBASE
Includes a wealth of chemical information from chemistry and chemical engineering reference works. Available via the Web, CHEMnetBASE includes information from the Combined Chemical Dictionary, The Handbook ofChemistry & Physics, Polymers: A Property Database, and Properties of Organic Compounds.

IHS Specs & Standards
Includes full-text up to date standards from the American Society for Testing and Materials, Underwriters Laboratories, and International Telecommunication Union.

Sigma-Aldrich
Provides descriptions, physical properties, safety information, basic pricing information, and references for thousands of commercially available chemicals.

NC State University MSDS Management System
Collection of over 500,000 material safety data sheets for chemical products. MSDS commonly contain information on chemical and physical properties; health, fire and reactivity hazards; environmental and regulatory requirements; spill and disposal procedures; first aid recommendations; and storage, handling and personal protective equipment. For more information on MSDS at NC State see http://www.ncsu.edu/ehs/MSDS.htm.
