.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.

A COLD FRONT WILL MOVE SLOWLY EASTWARD THROUGH WESTERN NORTH
CAROLINA THIS MORNING. AHEAD OF THIS FRONT... SCATTERED SHOWERS
AND A FEW STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL MOVE RAPIDLY NORTHEAST THROUGH
THE TRIAD REGION. A FEW STORMS THIS MORNING MAY PRODUCE WIND
GUSTS IN EXCESS OF 45 MPH. THEN THIS AFTERNOON... ADDITIONAL ISOLATED
SHOWERS AND STRONG STORMS ARE EXPECTED FROM MID AFTERNOON THROUGH
EARLY EVENING... BETWEEN 2 PM AND 7 PM. THESE STORMS MAY CONTAIN
DIME TO NICKEL SIZE HAIL.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY.

ANOTHER STORM SYSTEM WILL BRING A GOOD CHANCE OF STRONG THUNDERSTORMS
AND LOCALLY HEAVY RAIN FRIDAY NIGHT AND SATURDAY. OTHERWISE...

A COLD FRONT WILL MOVE SLOWLY EASTWARD THROUGH WESTERN AND CENTRAL
NORTH CAROLINA TODAY. AHEAD OF THIS FRONT... A LINE OF SCATTERED
SHOWERS AND A FEW STRONG THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED TO DEVELOP
OVER THE SANDHILLS AND EASTERN PIEDMONT LATE THIS MORNING... AND
MOVE RAPIDLY TO THE NORTHEAST THROUGH THE EARLY TO MID AFTERNOON.
A FEW OF THESE STORMS MAY BE SEVERE... PRODUCING WIND GUSTS IN
EXCESS OF 60 MPH. HAIL THE SIZE OF QUARTERS OR LARGER IS ALSO
POSSIBLE. THE GREATEST THREAT OF STRONG TO SEVERE STORMS WILL
OCCUR BETWEEN 11 AM AND 4 PM. ANOTHER ROUND OF ISOLATED SHOWERS
AND STORMS FROM LATE AFTERNOON THROUGH MID EVENING MAY PRODUCE
DIME TO NICKEL SIZE HAIL... MAINLY NORTH OF HIGHWAY 64.
