THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR CENTRAL NORTH CAROLINA.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.

THERE WILL BE POCKETS OF DENSE FOG ACROSS THE REGION EARLY THIS
MORNING. MOTORISTS SHOULD ALLOW EXTRA TIME TO REACH THEIR
DESTINATION DUE TO THE FOGGY CONDITIONS.

RAINFALL MAY BE LOCALLY HEAVY THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT. SHOWERS
ARE EXPECTED TO INCREASE IN COVERAGE AND INTENSITY AS AN UPPER
LEVEL DISTURBANCE APPROACHES FROM THE SOUTHWEST. WHERE THE HEAVIER
SHOWERS OCCUR...RAINFALL AMOUNTS BETWEEN A HALF AND ONE INCH IN
LESS THAN AN HOUR ARE EXPECTED. THIS MAY LEAD TO MINOR FLOODING OF
STREETS OR POOR DRAINAGE AREAS.

FINALLY...THERE IS A THREAT FOR STRONG TO SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS AFTER
MIDNIGHT TONIGHT. THE MAIN SEVERE WEATHER THREAT WILL BE DAMAGING
WIND GUSTS AND ISOLATED TORNADOES.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH THURSDAY.

THERE IS A THREAT FOR STRONG TO SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS
SATURDAY...ESPECIALLY ALONG AND EAST OF HIGHWAY 1. THE MAIN
SEVERE WEATHER THREAT WILL BE DAMAGING WIND GUSTS AND ISOLATED
TORNADOES. THE SEVERE WEATHER THREAT WILL END FROM WEST TO EAST
SATURDAY AFTERNOON. THE HEAVIER SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS MAY ALSO
PRODUCE LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL...LEADING TO MINOR FLOODING OF
STREETS AND POOR DRAINAGE AREAS.

THE VISIBILITIES SHOULD BEGIN TO IMPROVE AFTER 9 AM. SHOWERS MAY
PRODUCE LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL LATE THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT.
ALSO...THERE IS A THREAT FOR ISOLATED SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS AFTER
MIDNIGHT. THE MAIN SEVERE THREAT WILL BE DAMAGING WIND GUSTS OR
ISOLATED TORNADOES.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH THURSDAY.

THERE IS A THREAT FOR ISOLATED SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS SATURDAY
MORNING...MAINLY EAST AND SOUTH OF THE TRIAD. THE STRONGER
THUNDERSTORMS MAY PRODUCE WIND GUSTS UP TO 60 MPH OR A BRIEF
TORNADO. THE SEVERE WEATHER THREAT SHOULD END BY EARLY AFTERNOON.
