Here I have posted a few files that I keep needing to use on other computers, and maybe you will find them handy as well. You may have to do a “Save As” in order to save them as some of these files are text that will just show up in the browser window.

LaTeX Templates for Teaching

I've been working on my LaTeX files for tests and quizzes. Here is a copy of my a current version.

Vim

I use Vim for all the text editing I can. You may ask why I do, especially since there is a steep learning curve compared to say, notepad or some other text editor. Well, Vim is much more than just a text editor, but even if that's all you use it for you will save a lot of time (once you get past the hump). The main point is that you don’t use a mouse very often; once you get used to not using the mouse, you will find that it is a tremendous time saver.

For a handy tutorial on Vim, try opening vimtutor on the command line. It will walk you through about a 20 minute tutorial and show you all the basics you will need to be effective.

So, I have included my vim configuration file for you to download. [.vimrc]. This file has a few options set (such as syntax highlighting, tab indenting) that make Vim easier to use.
