Particle-Size Segregation in an Avalanche (my current research project)

Red represents a volume fraction of all small particles while blue represents a volume fraction
of all large particles.  We are viewing the avalanche in a moving frame, with a linear shear
profile so that in the setting of the moving frame, particles at the bottom are moving to the left
while particles at the top are moving to the right.
