I don't like the tests in the sense that they're much more difficult than the problems covered in class. Showing us the example problems shows us how to do the concepts and such but when the questions on the test are as difficult as they are we need to be exposed to those types of problems as well.

The biggest thing I do not like about the course is not being allowed to use a graphing calculator; however, the instructor has been good about explaining how to do prblems where a calculator would usually be needed.

The instructor takes a while to start class and then goes over on the time limit.

The class can be boring at times.

i would like more clear and sometimes more relevant example problems in class. and doing problems that would most likely be on the test would be good too.

Having taking what seems to be roughly the entirety of the course before, the subject matter becomes quite boring rather fast. Upon so, it becomes rather tedious and difficult to attend class, whether it be in its entirety or actually on time. When I arrive to class, it becomes a struggly to pay attention, though this is not a reflection of the instructor, but of the subject matter being taught. Indirectly coming to class, taking quizzes and overally putting in adequate effort has become rather cumbersome, though the majority of this is my problem as the student it is also the course assigned directors duty to provide outlets for said students that the professors or instructors can administer. Whereas taking a higher level math course would not have been the best descision for my academic career and that this course is not challenging enough in some circumstances.

The tests and quizzes are hard.

I don't like that the quiz and test problems (mostly quiz problems) are often more in depth than the example problems presented in class.

nothing it has been a very good course so far. The instructor is very good.

Sometimes I feel like the way you explain certain things would be very confusing if I hadn't already taken calculus in high school. For example at the start of the semester you used an analogy about shooting an arrow to explain domain and range. I would have been very confused if I didnt already know what domain and range were.

Material we were exposed to does not match the difficulty of the tests

Examples could use some work; maybe give a worse case scenario that you would use on a test since some of them in the book are calculator dependent and students often think that they are too complicated to be done without one.

Most examples are out of the book and involve using a calculator. I think it would be nice if you had more examples like quiz problems which also represent test problems. Possibly use problems that involve all the rules when dealing with rules or all of whatever the curriculum is going over.

You write with your left hand on the left chalkboard most of the time so the students on the right side of the class can't see.

Sometimes we spend too much time on one problem and then we run out of time at the end of class. So the information at the end of class doesnt get enough attention and not explained well.

Excessive use of trig functions and 'e' on tests and quizzes without as much practice problems using those in class. (although in the last week it has gotten much better)

I didnt like the fact that there was no control over the class...people shouting out various things. Not staying on topic....was very confusing. Or starting a problem then starting a different problem without finishing the first one.

he doesnt match very well and he has trouble giving examples to the class without being super NASA smart

I have a problem with his puncuality. he has a tendency to come about 2 min. late and keep us about 3 min. late. Though it has kept me from being late on a few occassion. haha.

I dont like that the intructor cant make the webassign problems up and use those.

I dislike that we usually only do very specific examples in class and then are quizzed on examples unlike the ones taught.

There isn't much I don't like, hands down this class is much better than the high school Advanced Placement version that I took.

I dont like the course at all. I dont like calculus at all. The only thing about the instuctor I dont like is that alot of the test problem are hard and even though I know the concept I get caught up in the hard questions because my background in calc and pre calc arent very good. I also hate maple and I think the assignments we have to do in maple are a waste of time. Maple is good for solving problems but just doing stupid exercises dont make much sense to me.

Everything seemed to be alright

Some times the writing on the board is chicken scratch. And at times he makes things way to confusing.

Webassign has different types of problems than the ones we are expected to learn for tests. We not only have to do web-assign, we have to do suggested problems so we will be framiliar with the types of problems for tests.

Sometimes you don't explain things very well. That is just me though. Others might understand it, when I don't.
