I am starting my third year in the computer science PhD program here at NCSU. My undergraduate degree was completed at NCSU in 2003. I completed my masters degree in computer science from The George Washington University in Washington DC while working for the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Before returning to NCSU for my  PhD I spent the year in Iceland on a Fulbright scholarship. My research interests are in computational linguistics, specifically dealing with minority languages and corpus construction.
