Topics include network security models, review of cryptographic techniques, internet key management protocols, electronic payments protocols and systems, intrusion detection and correlation, broadcast authentication, group key management, security in mobile ad-hoc networks, security in sensor networks. Students work on their Senior Design Thesis, choosing topics in areas like IPv6, SIP, Wireless Networks QoS and Security, Sensor Networks, OPNET simulations, VoIP, IPSec and Network Management/Performance. Responsibilities included in-class/lab tutorials and system/network administration. Instructors: Prof. John Streck, Prof. David Thuente and Prof. Mladen Vouk

Teaching Assistant, Computer Networks [CSC401]
Department of Computer Science, NCSU, 5/03 - 8/03, 1/06 - 12/06
Basic concepts of data communication networking and computer communications architectures, including packet/circuit/virtual-circuit switching, layered communication architecture and OSI layers, general description of DLC, network and transport layers, some detailed protocol study of Ethernet, ATM, TCP/IP and Wireless Networks. Students do a series of OPNET tutorials and exercises to firm up the networking fundamentals learnt in the course. Responsibilities included guest lecturing selected topics in Computer Networks.
