The Bilingual Chat Community brings together students of Spanish from the North Carolina State University and students of English from the Universidad de Puerto Rico en Río Piedras in weekly one-hour chat sessions (half hour in English, half hour in Spanish). The objectives of the community are to bring about social interaction between groups of language learners and native speakers of the language they are learning. Since this is a reciprocal setup, we hope that our chat participants will learn from each other and develop culturally, linguistically and socially.
