There is no registration fee. You can register online or at the conference. However, if you are asking for any support from the conference you need to register online.

Please note that registration must be received by March 10, 2012 in order to be considered for support.


Modest support from the conference grant may be available to graduate students, postdocs, junior faculty, women, and members of underrepresented minority groups. Graduate students are encouraged to share the hotel room with another participant. We will let you know after March 10 if any partial support will be available from the conference. Please let us know if you need an answer before March 10, 2012.

If you are not a citizen or green card holder, then you must have an appropriate US Visa (F1, J1, or B1) in order to receive any support.

Participants can stay at the Doubletree Brownstone, located adjacent to the NCSU campus. You are requested to make your own reservation by calling the hotel at 919-828-0811 or on their website. However, if you need assistance, contact us. A block of rooms has been reserved under the group name "Lie Theory Conference" at a rate of $99+tax per night per room (single or double).To get this rate you must reserve on or before March 30, 2012. There are also other affordable hotels within short driving distance from NCSU.


On Saturday and Sunday, free parking is available anywhere on campus except where reserved. We suggest you park in the lot next to SAS Hall on Saturday and Sunday.


The Conference will be held in SAS Hall on NCSU's Main Campus. All lectures will be in SAS 1102 in the ground floor. Please enter the building in the ground floor near the parking lot.
