I am currently pursuing a Ph.D in Chemistry, focusing on Analytical Chemistry and Biotechnology. My paleontology related research focuses on exploring and improving chemical methods for characterizing the biochemical properties of fossils. Recent work includes analysis of differences in chemistries between different bone types in theropod dinosaurs and their modern analogues (ratite birds), as well as proteomic studies related to pressure cycling technology and bone protein extraction.
