My given name is Matthew Edward Morain, though I go by the much more manageable Matt. I am currently a doctoral student at North Carolina State University in Raleigh, NC, entering my fourth year of pursuing a degree in Communication, Rhetoric, and Digital Media. My research is broadly concerned with digital rhetoric and Internet culture, the rhetoric and philosophy of technology, and network theory and culture.

I serve the NCSU English Department as a graduate instructor and research assistant, teaching courses in technical writing, first-year composition, and digital technologies for text production. I otherwise keep myself busy administering the CRDM student blog, reading for my exams, preparing for conferences and publications, juggling several writing and design consulting positions and, when there's time, my personal hobbies and interests. You will find information on this site regarding all of these areas of my life. However, you won't find information about clowns (I'm a coulrophobe).
