Our Mission

The National German Honor Society, Delta Phi Alpha, seeks to recognize excellence in the study of German and to provide an incentive for higher scholarship. The Society aims to promote thestudy of the German language, literature, and civilization and endeavors to emphasize those aspects of German life and culture which are of universal value and which contribute to man's eternal search for peace and truth.

Our Chapter

The Lamda Sigma chapter of Delta Phi Alpha was established in 2005 and provides its members with the opportunity to enjoy German events in the Raleigh Area.  Students celebrate German holidays such as Unification Day, Oktober Fest, and Weihnachten, enjoy German cuisine at local German restaurants and attend German movies, concerts, and plays. The goal of our chapter is to encourage our members to seek German cultural experiences outside the classroom.
