Guidelines for Testing for MA 242.651

Testing: An overview

All testing will be handled through the DELTA Testing Service.

1. If you live within 50 miles of NCSU then you will be taking your tests at the DELTA Testing Center on the NCSU Campus. See the "Local Proctoring" information below.

2. If you live more than 50 miles from NCSU then you may arrange for a remote proctor. See the "Remote Proctoring" information below.

3. Students are also encouraged to schedule ALL their exams at the beginning of the semester instead of waiting till the last minute. Space is limited so do not wait until the last miniute.

Testing dates:

Proctored tests will be given on the day listed on the day-by-day MA 242 schedule ,or one day early or one day late. If an exam is scheduled for a Friday, then you may take the exam on either the Thursday before or the Monday after the scheduled test. There will be a TWO DAY window for the final exam.

ALL PROCTORED TESTING MUST BE ARRANGED WITH DELTA TESTING SERVICES AND MUST ADHERE TO THE FOLLOWING RULES.

Local Proctoring
The Delta Testing Center is located in Venture II, Suite 500 on Centennial Campus with a new extension in 205 Cox Hall on the NCSU north campus. The majority of testing is now done on a walk-in basis (no appointment necessary) at both testing centers. It is the student's responsibility to come in during the exam window on your syllabue, and no exam will be started less than 30 minutes prior to closing. Everything a student taking their exams at the DELTA Testing Center will need (directions to the office, link to the online scheduling system, parking instructions, office hours, etc) is located on the Local Proctoring page of the DE website. The Local Proctoring page URL is http://distance.ncsu.edu/students/localproctor.html

Remote Proctoring
Students outside of a 50-mile radius are allowed to use a remote proctor instead of coming into the DELTA Testing Center. All information on this process is found on our Remote Proctoring page (http://distance.ncsu.edu/students/remoteproctor.html).  . NOTE: You must have your remote proctor approved by DELTA Testing Services by May 25, 2012.
