Teaching Philosophy
I believe that teaching should be a mutually satisfying experience between the student and the teacher in which the following transaction must take place: the instructor must make learning material accessible to the student in a manner that allows the student to appreciate its relevance for future success. This transaction requires adaptation to the set of circumstances or environment in which the instructor and students find themselves in and ultimately requires a correspondence that provides value to the learning experience.
One of my strongest assets in teaching is my ability to sense the level of understanding of the class during a learning module or exercise. This asset allows me to change the pace and/or quality of presentation to accommodate any deficiencies in understanding displayed by the class as a whole.
