MA 121 Elements of Calculus

We will cover the material in the text through Chapter 6. There will be 4 take-home tests (or assignments) which may be found below as pdf files. As you complete a test, mail it to me at the address below.Make sure that you include your current return mailing address with your work.

In addition, there will be an open notes final exam that you will take
on campus (or at another approved testing site). The exam will be given on May 2-May 8. You should contact the DE Proctor Center (use the DE website) early in the semester to schedule your exam.

Grading Policy: Take Home Tests 65% of grade, Webassign 10%, Final exam 25%
The assignments are due by the following dates:
Assignment 1 after Chapter 1- February 14; Lectures 1 -13
Assignment 2 after Chapter 3- March 16; Lectures 14--25
Assignment 3 after Chapter 4- April 10; Lectures 26 - 31
Assignment 4 after Chapter 6- April 27; Lectures 32 - 38
Make sure that you complete the indicated chapters and lectures before you attempt the assignment; ignore the in-class test information which is on a different schedule.
In order to do well on these tests, you should keep up with the homework assignments that are mentioned in the lectures. You do not send in these problems.
