teaching activities

Below are two separate teaching activities, the first of which, "Learning in the Real World," takes a situated learning approach to teaching an article about "real-world teaching strategies". The activity is available both in the original form as well as in a "new and improved" form after reflection on the trial run of the activity.

The second activity is designed to tie course reading in with the professional world, providing students with the opportunity to combine course knowledge, critical thinking, and reflection to produce a thought-out PR response. "Creating and Evaluating Crisis Communication Kits" is a fast-paced activity that requires students to think like practitioners.
