Lessons learned: 1. This process involved two new riveting techniques; back riveting where the countersunk head of the rivet is placed on a small steel plate and the bucktail is driven by the rivet gun. The trailing edge required double countersunk rivets. 2. The workbench has to be absolutely clean. Even a small piece of debris or a rivet left on the workbench can result in damage to the skin.
