Office Hours: Weekly schedule posted on the bulletin board outside of office. To make an appointment, please contact the FYC Main Desk at 515-8130.

Students with Disabilities: If you have a disability that may affect your participation in this class, please notify me as soon as possible so that any necessary adjustments can be made.

Academic Integrity: All students are expected to abide by the NCSU Code of Student Conduct.

Missed Assignments: Students who miss class work because of an approved, excused absence will be able to make it up. It is your responsibility to contact me as soon as you return to class (or sooner) to make arrangements. Check with me in advance to see if the absence is approved. If a unexpected "life" situation occurs, please consult me to discuss it.

Stapling: All assignments with more than one page must be stapled, unless otherwise indicated within the body of the assignment. Points will be deducted for all assignments that are not stapled.

Late Work: Late work will not be accepted unless there are extenuating circumstances that prevented you from turning it in on time (i.e. oversleeping, forgetting or procrastination are not extenuating circumstances). Work is late if you turn it in after it has been collected in class. Please communicate in advance should a circumstance arise in your life that will prevent you from a timely submission.

Attendance Addendum: Class will begin and end on time. As a result, you are expected to be prepared and be on time for class. If you are tardy, it will be noted. Two "tardies" will result in an absence. Perfect attendance will result in one point extra credit at the end of the semester.

Incompletes: Students may take an incomplete for this course only under extraordinary circumstances. If you feel you will need an incomplete for this course, you must meet with me before the semester grades are due to make arrangements.

Cell Phones: It is an FYC policy that we cannot call cell phones that would require our making a long distance telephone call to contact you. Therefore, please set up your residence hall voice mail or answering machine and check for messages regularly. As a courtesy, it is expected that your cell phones are turned off during class.
