You've learned a little more through USC and through working through this website about your personality and hopefully some major and career options. Sometimes we all need a little more help in tying it all together.
Choose Your Own Path is a game of sorts that will allow you to bounce around from link to link considering your abilities, interests, and values. You can check out different majors, look at career areas, figure out how a minor or some sort of out of the classroom activity at NC State will make a difference on your future.
Before that, let's check back in on your Holland Code because this will make a difference on the way you look up potential colleges, majors, and careers.
The Holland Code has 6 different types (The Workbook):
- Realistic - prefers to work with objects, tools, machines and animals; sees self as having athletic, technical, and/or mechanical aptitude
- Investigative - prefers to engage in work involving observation, scientific study, and reading and thinking; sees self as scholarly and curious
- Artistic - prefers to create writing, speaking, visual art, and/or music; sees self as expressive, original and nonconforming
- Social - prefers to teach, help, develop, and inform others; sees self as helpful and understanding
- Enterprising - prefers to persuade, lead, and direct others; sees self as being aggressive and having leadership capabilities
- Conventional - prefers to work in a structured environment, handling business and economic matters; sees self as orderly and conforming and enjoys recordkeeping
