Retrieving Papers and Software

This page provides a simple interface for accessing results obtained by Symbolic Solution members. Papers can be acquired by clicking on one of the topics found on the marble image or, alternatively, by using the text based list of topics at the bottom of the Research page. Currently archived papers and results contributed by members of the Symbolic Solutions Group can be categorized as follows.

Another option could be to search for a particular paper via an alphabetically ordered list of paper titles by selecting the "Papers" category. Also a key word query for a paper can be performed by clicking on the "Search" category. Finally, software developed by the members of the group is freely available and can be accessed by following the corresponding link.

It should be noted that the information provided by this page represents only the current status of archived papers and software. It is the goal of this site to serve as a complete repository of research conducted by past and present members of the Symbolic Solutions Group.

Some of the papers and software can also be accessed via anonymous FTP at ftp.cs.rpi.edu.

After following the links provided in the Research page to a selected paper or software package, you will be given a list of files that can be retrieved. The following is a list of possible file types.

*.dvi - device independent format produced by TeX
*.ps - postscript
*.ps.Z - postscript compressed via Unix compress
*.sh.Z - Unix shared and compressed via Unix compress
*.sh.Z.uu - Unix shared, Unix compress, Unix uuencode
*.tar.Z - Unix tared and compressed via Unix compress
talk.dvi/ps/ps.Z - transparencies for a talk given about the paper(s)

Every file list includes a text README which details the contents of each file. It is recommended to view the README file before paper or software retrieval.
