The 2015 NCSU Geology Field Course was based in El Rito, NM. It offered field projects in bedrock mapping of sedimentary (Gallina Plaza), metamorphic (Benjamin tank), and igneous (Petaca Mill, LaJarita) rocks, geomorphology (Rio Ojo Caliente, Great Sand Dunes Nat’l. Pk.) and geophysics (Rio Ojo Caliente, Sapawee).  The course was guided by NCSU faculty members Bohnenstiehl, Hibbard, and Wegmann.  Enjoy some pics from the camp. We will only be accommodating NCSU geology majors in 2016.
