Once i sealed up the intake pipe cracks with some RTV the motor ran like a dream. It cranks over usually on the first try and idles quite well. After driving it around the block a few times i've discovered the throttle cable needs some tweaking and the brake pedal is a little soft but overall it functions quite well. I didnt have a cameraman the day i was driving it around so the movies i have are only standing still but I will get better ones soon.

Motor ran for the first time, its idling a little rough but im sure i have quite a few leaks in both the vaccum lines i attempted to seal up and the air intake system i pieced together from things i had laying around. Once i have fans hooked to the radiator i can let it idle for more than a minute or two to try and fix this. New tcase mount and fuel cell are due to arrive soon, then i can measure up for the driveshafts.

I realize i havent updated my progress in over a month, people get busy ya know ! Motor is back in the engine bay, trans is hooked up but held up by a cinder block, wiring is in progress thanks to the AWESOME writeup done on supracharged.com (i dont think i could have handled the wiring part without it), fuel lines are taken care of but the gas tank skid still hasnt been completed, radiator is taken care of but still needs some trimming before it can be installed. After all those things are done i have to take the truck to have an air intake and exhaust fabbed up and it should be about finished. . . SOUNDS easy but winter sucks. When i wake up its below freezing, when i get home from work its dark and almost below freezing. . . doesnt allow for much work to get done on the truck

Currently working on re-installing the timing belt after the timing cover (not the black plastic, the aluminum casting below it) had to be replaced upon finding it being broken in half . This major carnage was only discovered after the motor was pulled from the supra three weeks ago. So after the old cover was removed the new one was installed as seen in the image at the top of the page. This week i am going to try and get the timing belt finished, and begin installing the motor in the truck (hopefully).
