I have a student who added late. How do I handle this?
Student was not in another section before switching to my section:
WebAssign updates nightly using the PackTracks system. Once a student is officially enrolled in the class they will appear on your WebAssign roster within 24 hours. (Note: If a student adds on Friday afternoon they will not be added until Monday due to the way R&R updates their records.) If students add after 1 or more assignments are due you will want to grant them extensions on the assignment(s). See the help link relating to this issue for details.
Student switched from another section of the same class:
WebAssign updates nightly using the PackTracks system. Once a student is officially enrolled in the class they will appear on your WebAssign roster within 24 hours. (Note: If a student adds on Friday afternoon they will not be added until Monday due to the way R&R updates their records.) If students bought and used an Access Code in their old section they do not need to buy another code. The code can be transferred to the new class. Email Jennifer George at jlgeorge@ncsu.edu and give the students name, your class and section, and the class and section that the student transferred from. If the student has completed assignments in their previous section you have 2 options. You can have their grades from their old section transferred over (if the assignments were exactly the same as your assignments) or you can grant the students extensions and allow them to complete the assignments for your class. To have the grades transferred you will need to contact Jennifer George at jlgeorge@ncsu.edu and give the students name, your class and section, and the class and section that the student transferred from. WebAssign updates nightly using the PackTracks system. Once a student is officially enrolled in the class they will appear on your WebAssign roster within 24 hours. (Note: If a student adds on Friday afternoon they will not be added until Monday due to the way R&R updates their records.) Work done in their old class will not "match" and therefore cannot be transferred. Students will need to be given extensions on any past due assignments. See the help link relating to this issue for details. If students bought and used an Access Code in their old class they do not need to buy another code. The code can be transferred to the new class.
