I don't like the default homework assignments. Can I remove some questions?

Yes, you can do this and then you can reuse these modified assignments in any future sections (you only have to make the changes once in other words). You cannot do this for yourself, but must request that changes of this sort be done for you.

How to request changes:

(1) Email Jennifer George at jlgeorge@ncsu.edu and indicate your name, class, and section.

(2) Include a list of what changes you would like made. Below is a sample list:
Section 1.1: omit #4, #5, #6
Section 1.4: omit entire assignment
Section 1.7: omit #9

Important Note:
**Once students start on or complete an assignment it is a bad idea to make changes to the assignment. The main reason is that if work has already been started there are extra steps that must be taken to make sure that grades are updated based on the changes. Changes "late in the game" can also cause a lot of student confusion. It is better to make changes as earlier as possible, but if you must make late changes make sure you indicate this in your email so that the extra steps are taken to make sure the grades are updated properly.
