Activity - Discussion Forum

  1. Read the notes about Status Reports: A status report has three parts:
    • Introduction - Brings the audience up to date by giving succinct background information, and outlining the issues to be covered
    • Technical Section - Reports on recent progress, and changes
    • Recommendations - Points the way to future action

    A status report moves from past tense, to present tense, to future tense. A successful status report is one that answers the following question:

    Who is supposed to do what with the information I provide?

  2. Click on WebCT/Vista
  3. Click on the Discussion Forum Status Report
  4. Post a message to your group discussing the status of your part of the project
  5. Post one reply that addresses what needs to be done to finalize this assignment. Consider making a suggestion that goes beyond just "getting it done," but that also addresses what could make it even better.
