1. Read the following report: Communication in the Workplace: What can NC State Students Expect? NOTE: This is a bit lengthy, so you may scan a few sections. Be sure to read the one related to your future profession, as well as the quotes from professionals listed throughout. You will probably need to revisit this report before posting and responding to the Discussion Forum for this activity.
2. View the PowerPoint Presentation that is based on this research and which was given to NC State faculty and synthesized from the above report: Communication in the Workplace 2007
3. Login to WebCT/Vista
4. Click on the Discussion Topic Oral Presentation Scripts
5. Post one suggestion for a note or script text related to the following slides in the PowerPoint presentation. NOTE: Refer to the section "What do Professionals tell us about writing and speaking on the job?" from the written report to find a point that is worth emphasizing orally about one of the following unannotated slides:
