ENG 333 Communication for Science and Research

This Activity contains 2 parts (most will not in the upcoming weeks).

Part 1 - E-mail

Send an e-mail to me that contains the following:

1. List two new thoughts that you gained from the Introduction: Writing as Bridge-Building article, Reading 2 for this week. Briefly tell me why. There are no wrong answers. I will link you to other articles throughout the semester because I think that reading good writing always helps you to become a better writer.
2. Tell me one strength you have as a writer, and one weakness. Also, if there are any topics that you would like addressed this semester in order to improve your writing, feel free to mention them too. A goal of mine is to make everything you do in this course useful to you outside of this class.

Simply click on my name at the top of this page. I will respond with a follow-up email, including my primary reason for assigning this reading.

Part 2 - Release Form

You will benefit from seeing examples of other students' work for the major assignments throughout this semester. I do change the names. In order to be able to use your work in future semesters, I need you to sign a release form. Even if you do not want me to use your work, you still need to complete the following steps:

1. Print out a hard copy of the Release Form.
2. Fill in the blanks and sign it.
3. Mail the form to the address listed at the top. NOTE: This will be the only time that you will be required to pay postage to send me anything.
