Dear Technical Writing Department:

We are students at North Carolina State University who have been 
assigned to recommend changes to a published set of instructions. 
As avid game players, we selected the instructions for The Game 
of LIFE (Copyright 1982).  We concluded that although the 
content and format of the present instructions are adequate, a 
Strategy Guide would be a useful addition to the Game.

Often, experienced game players have the upper hand when competing 
with novice players.  A Strategy Guide would help to even out this 
imbalance. Some players might simply desire more information to help 
them play and potentially win the Game. A Strategy Guide which 
addresses these problems would increase customer satisfaction. A 
Strategy Guide also has the potential to widen your audience base 
and increase sales--for this Game as well as other games under the 
Milton Bradley name.

We encourage you to read the enclosed Proposal to Add a Strategy 
Guide to The Game of LIFE for more detailed information. The 
enclosed Strategy Guide is designed as a stand-alone pamphlet that 
could easily be included in every Game box for little additional 
cost.
