We will be running a university van between RDU (the Raleigh-Durham
airport) and Western Blvd (Wood Hall).
If you stay in Brownstone or Velvet Cloak Ins, you can ask the driver
to stop in your hotel.
Most conference participants are arriving on Monday, May 24. On Monday we will run the van continuously between the airport and the dorm. There are 2 terminals (A and C) at RDU. The van will stop by each baggage claim. We will have the van clearly marked and someone holding a "NCSU CBMS Conference" sign. After arriving at RDU please pick up your baggage at the baggage claim and then proceed to the curb side in front of baggage claim and wait for the next van to arrive.
The first van should arrive at RDU around 1:00pm. The round trip from the airport to the drom/hotels takes about 1 hour, so we will try to have a van stopping by the airport every hour. Please note that around 5pm (rush hour) traffic gets backed up on I-40 so you may have to wait a little longer. The last van will arrive at RDU sometime around 10pm. In you need to contact us for some reason (for example in case of flight delay) regarding airport pick-up we will provide a telephone number (via email) to contact Jonathan Dunbar (one of the van drivers).
If you are not arriving between 1:00pm and 10 pm, on May 24, Monday please send us your flight information (to Jonathan) and we can make a special run out to the airport for you.
