Conference Theme:
The conference will be devoted to the theory
of symmetric functions, Schubert polynomials and their connections to other
fields. Recent advances on quantum groups further testify its far reaching
applications. Professor Lascoux is one
of the leading contributors in this area. He
will give a down-to-earth and penetrating lectures on the fascinating subject.
The talks are aimed to survey current research and provide introduction
to new comers.
