1. Various aspects of data assimilation, including the design of reduced stochastic filters for state estimation of complex turbulent systems.
2. Application of averaging theory for filtering multiscale dynamical systems.
3. Climate sensitivity detection through fluctuation-dissipation theory.
4. Physics constrained nonlinear regression models for time series.
5. Application of information theory to various aspect of weather prediction problems.
