Research Interests:

1. Various aspects of data assimilation including the design of stochastic reduced filters for turbulent complex systems, applications of averaging theory for filtering multiscale dynamical systems, and nonlinear particle filtering for high dimensional systems.
2. Climate sensitivity detection through fluctuation-dissipation theory.
3. Modeling low frequency climate variability.
4. Application of information theory to various aspect of weather prediction problems.
