Award: Frontiers in Computational Physics Award, Journal of Computational Physics inaugural conference on Modeling the Earth System, Boulder CO 2012. [pictures] Research Interest: I worked on various mathematical problems related to climate and weather predictability. My main research interest is on data assimilation and the current focus is to develop reduced stochastic filters to assimilate multiscale systems by applying averaging theory, heterogeneous multiscale methods, and superparameterization. Recently, I am also involved in designing physics constrained nonlinear regression models for time series.
