Course Goal
My goal is for each student to develop a respect for mathematics. I want each student to be able to find some area of mathematics to appreciate.

Course Web Site
The web site for the course is on wolfware and found at http://courses.ncsu.edu/ma103/. From here you can link to this page and view your grades. You will need to log in to access some of these features. To do this, use your Unity ID and password (your email name and password).

Book Web Site
The book web site is http://www.prenhall.com/tannenbaum. Although it is not mandatory that you use this site, you will find practice questions and applets to help you learn the material.

Syllabus
Before asking questions, please consult the syllabus. Here you will find a lot of important information such as grading and test dates.

Schedule
Here you will find a course schedule. The schedule will be shifted to accommodate the progress of our class. If you miss a day, please consult the schedule to see what topics you missed. I reserve the right to change the schedule as needed.

Homework
Here you will find the homework assignments and due dates. Answers to the homework assignments will be posted the day after they are due. Homework assignments will be graded on correctness and completeness, then returned the day after they are due. Remember: Homework is worth a total of 40% of your grade!

Test Solutions
Test solutions will be posted after all students have completed the test. They will be posted here. You will need to log in to access these solutions.

Course Project
Here you can find a list of approved course projects. Only the instructor can approve course projects. The project is worth 10% of your grade! A three minute presentation is required as part of the project.
